Community-based protection involves supporting and strengthening communities' self-protection capacities and shifting the power dynamics within the humanitarian protection sector, enabling communities to have greater influence over protection responses. This new working approach is developed by SP-CNRA in partnership with UNHCR through the Community-Based Protection Service (SPBC). It includes several divisions to effectively address the various concerns of persons under mandate.
